Welcome to Meadow View Elementary School

Dear Families,

On behalf of all the teachers and staff, I want to welcome you and your family to the 2009 - 2010 school year.   The relationship between the school, the student, the family and our community is extremely important.  The academic success of our students depends on how well and how often we all work together focusing on their best interests.

Student achievement continues to be our primary focus.  We are committed to providing your child with the very best education possible.  All of our teachers are highly qualified and receive continual professional development to be sure they are using the most current teaching strategies to help your child become proficient in grade level standards and to constantly improve their English speaking, listening, writing and reading skills.  This year our focus will be on raising the expectations for all students.  We don't want our students to simply learn the basic skills in reading, writing and math.  We want all of our students to become proficient at their grade level curriculum and will help them reach for the stars.

You as the parent/guardian have the most influence in your child’s life.  Every child is important to us.  It’s up to us to work together to help each student be a good citizen, both in school and in the community.  There are many ways that you can help your child be successful in school - you can help with homework, help in the classroom, drive on field trips or attend our PTA  sponsored Family Nights.

If you have any questions, please call me at 541-3715.  We are looking forward to a positive, successful year where every child is safe, respectful and responsible in everything they do while at Meadow View.

Sincerely,

Terri Palladino
